Police puzzle: Completely destroyed speedboat on the coast
The local police in Lanzarote activate their drone unit to find the occupants of the stranded Zodiac. The boat was found completely destroyed and surrounded by tyre tubes and fuel drums on the coast in the south of Lanzarote (Playa Papagayo, Playa Blanca).
After receiving tips from the public that an inflatable speedboat (Zodiac) had been discovered near the natural area 'Los Ajaches', in the south of Lanzarote, an extensive police operation was launched.
The local police of Yaiza went to the site and found the inflatable boat of about seven metres in length completely destroyed in rough terrain.
The local police then activated the Udron air surveillance unit (archive image of the Udron unit in action) to find possible occupants of the boat, belongings or clues, as it is virtually impossible to disembark at this location.
The Zodiac, which now had no engine, was surrounded by fuel drums and a large number of hoses made from car tyres. Also on the scene were members of the Guardia Civil and firefighters from the Consorcio de Seguridad y Emergencias de Lanzarote. The Guardia Civil is maintaining the investigation.
