Lanzarote Tourism Awards

Highest awards for 'Irish Travel Agent Association (2020)', the Spanish airline 'Volotea (2021)' and the local foundation 'Fundación César Manrique (2022)'.
During a festive gala last night (29 September 2022), the merits around tourism on Lanzarote were honoured with the 'Premio Isla de Lanzarote'. Due to the events of the past years, not only the achievements of 2022 but also those of 2020 and 2021 were honoured in the auditorium of the 'Jameos del Agua'.
„Details on the individual award winners, such as the award-winning chef Luis Léon, the restaurant 'Ikarus', the luxury resort 'Kamezi', the sports event 'Lanzarote Summer Challenge' or the posthumous appreciation of the life's work of the entrepreneur and surf enthusiast Tim Jones will follow shortly.”
This extension became necessary because no award ceremony could be held in the past two years. Traditionally, the gala always takes place in the week of 'World Tourism Day 27 September'.
In the individual categories, other local people and institutions were honoured for their great commitment and achievements that have contributed to shaping the reputation and attractiveness of Lanzarote internationally in a long-term and sustainable way.
